Hafeez Jalandhri and Akhtar Shirani are among the young contemporaries of Iqbal. He started writing poems when Iqbal had reached the pinnacle of bound poetry. Hafeez Jalandhri was born on 14 January 1900 in Jalandhar, Punjab. Hafeez started writing poetry at the age of eleven. Hafeez Jalandhri is also famous for creating the Shahnama Islam and the national anthem of Pakistan. The overall mood of their poems is gloomy. They set new forms for songs and poems. They create a new order of stanzas in the poem according to their internal emotions, romantic thoughts, and feelings and determine the number of verses in each stanza. They also replace the tapes with a new arrangement.
Akhtar Shirani is a very important poet of the romantic mood. He was born on May 4, 1905, in the state of Tonk. Akhtar also started poetry at the age of eleven and twelve years. He came to Lahore in 1921 and entered the Oriental College. Staying in Lahore fueled his poetic taste. The disease had rendered Akhtar Shirani's liver useless. He died in Lahore on September 9, 1948, at the age of 43. Akhtar Shirani changed the conventional forms of the poem to express his feelings and themes. He combined the common forms of Urdu poetry and English poetry. He created new forms. He also made various changes in the form of syllabary, composition, symmetry, hexagons, squares, and triangles. By increasing or decreasing the verses of the bahar, the stanzas in the poems have been made smaller or larger. He has also changed the rhyme scheme in the poem.
These poets associated with the romantic movement have also maintained a global perspective and created a melody in Urdu poetry with the sound of the local flute and the song of the village girl. The nature and intensity of the structure's experiences in his poems are different. The different forms of songs, the new composition of stanzas of the poem, and the effort to diversify the rhymes and the rhythms are proof of the artistic skills of Hafeez Jalandhri and Akhtar Shirani. He changed the structure of the stanzas to create harmony in the structure of the poem and his ideas. The romantic poetry of Hafeez Jalandhri and Akhtar Shirani was distinguished for making slight changes inbound lines.
