Murakkab Afaal, known as collocation in English Grammar, is an important part of lexicography, often ignored by Urdu writers. Not even a single paragraph can be constructed without its sound knowledge. A noun collocated with different types of verbs varies its meaning and shade. Therefore, knowing this basic and active component of the Urdu language and literature is indispensable for students, writers and scholars. This article encompasses different aspects of Murakkab Afaal.
