Rasheed Amjad is one of the renowned Urdu short story writers of recent times. His stories have varied implications; his most frequently used tool of story writing is symbolism. Under the dictatorship eras of Pakistan, there was binding over freedom of speech and thoughts. He wrote numerous short stories to highlight the political suppression. The social inequality and unfulfillment of human desires. This research article is an effort to bring forth the aforementioned aspects and their depiction in Rasheed Amjad's Short stories. The short story" Bigul Wala" highlights the same views of the writer.
