The feeling that is found in the people of a nation regarding the unity of their language, religion, region, source of livelihood, and customs is what makes it unique from other nations. This feeling is called the concept of nationalism. Most of the short story writers try to describe this concept in their writings. Zahida Hina is one of them; she is a renowned Urdu short story writer, Novelist, Columnist, and poetess of the era. She has short story books, namely “Titliaan Dhondny Wali”, “Rah ma Ajal hy”, “Raqs Bismal Hy”, and “Qaidi Saans Lyta hy”. Her short story “Hua Phir sy Hukm Sadir” is included in “Raqs Bismal hy”, and in this short story, Zahida Hina tries to describe the geographical and chronological distance between the people of the two countries after the migration. It has been described in such a way that the attitudes of mutual hatred and non-conformity between the people of the two countries have come to the fore. The spirit of nationalism takes a negative direction when the colour of extremism prevails in it. In this research, it will be found how nationalism is described by a writer as a psychological disorder.
