Khalida Hussain is a known fiction writer of Urdu Literature. She is also known as a feminist writer who describes female emotions in her fiction. Her short stories are masterpieces. Kaghzi Ghaat is her only novel. Kaghzi Ghat portrays social classism in the subcontinent. After the partition, these classes reacted in different ways. The main characters of the novel are female. Khalida Hussain symbolises the classes of society through these women. The fall of Dhaka is another trauma for them. Khlaida Hussain depicts the female character's inner and outer selves via her pen. The trauma of females after the migration and war is represented in this novel.
